FRANCES GINN

Choir Secretary

Frances started singing at about aged 10 and took all her Associated Board singing exams up to and including Grade 8. She lived in Southend on Sea until she married and has sung in Choral Societies all her life, starting with Southend Youth Choir where she was chief soloist (including a performance as Princess Ida in 1970!)

She first met Malcolm St. John (although they don't remember each other) when he worked at English National Opera and she was secretary to the Opera General Manager there in about 1970!

They met again in 1990 when her children went to Ackworth School and they have been firm friends ever since.

Wednesday (choir rehearsal night) is her favourite night of the week!
